My gyno told me that my hymen is partially opened, even though its a very small opening. she said that there is a small slit on it.My question is, how bad will it hurt during my first time? And what's the best position to be to reduce the pain?

A partially opened hymen is actaully really good in terms of pain; it means that there will be less tearing necessary to acheive penetration your first time, since some of it has already occurred.
You're actually fortunate in that regard.

What might damage the hymen
The hymen is not normally damaged by playing sports, using tampons, pelvic examinations or even straddle injuries.[18]
Once a girl reaches puberty, the hymen tends to become quite elastic. It is not possible to determine whether a woman uses tampons or not by examining her hymen.[19] Only 43% of women report bleeding the first time they had sex; which means that in the other 57% of women the hymen likely stretched enough that it didn't tear.[20]
It is rare to damage the hymen through accidental injury, such as falling on the crossbar of a bicycle. Although such an accident may cause bleeding, this is usually due to damage to surrounding tissues such as the labia.[21] It is so unlikely that an accident would damage the hymen without injuring any other part of the vulva, that damage to the hymen alone, described as an accident, would be seen as a strong indicator of sexual assault.[22]
I dont know if the info above helps you at all but I hope so. did your doc say what made this slit? You should be able to talk to your doctor about this type of thing. but as it states that it is a very rare thing so its really hard to tell if anyone might have the right answer for you. also remember to that when it comes to pain and your first time that everyones opinion of pain is different. good luck with everything

Most girls or women break their hymen and never know it. It can be done riding a horse, a bike, from a fall....etc. The pain most females feel the first time they have sex is because they are scared and expecting the pain...relaxed is the best position.

You can try to stretch it yourself by sticking your finger into your vagina and moving it from side to side and over a period of time, this will help stretch your hymen out a little which will help with the pain. When you can enter one finger with no pain, try to enter 2 fingers and do the same thing. Keep entering another finger when you're comfortable with it. I read about this on a website (I think it might have been Cool Nurse).

The pain will not be as bad as it would be without the tear already being there. So don't fret too much, it wont hurt that bad at all, though the first time is always slightly uncomfortable.

it all depends on the girl. no vagina is the same. so no one can really tell YOU the best position for YOU or how much it will hurt YOU

You and your husband should discuss it before the wedding night. I think with some understanding (and maybe some wine) you will get through it just fine.
