The goal of terrorists is to change the social order. The ONLY way to "shake things up" and change a society is to do outrageous things in public - either through peaceful protests or violence. Ghandi and hippies were sucessfull with peace, and now the Al Queda is sucessfull with violence. For the measly price of a couple of million dollars (or less), Al Queda has caused the USA to spend hundreds of billions , The terrorists have succeeded in changing society - making it more paranoid and less free. The terrorists have succeeded in making the USA MORE of a paria state - with the entire world hating US (not "them"). They have succeeded in bogging us down in a questionable war (although parallels to vietnam are unwarranted, as we lost at LEAST 1600 soldiers a MONTH in vietnam). I'm sure that members of Al Queda KNEW that many would be caught - since its hard to hide from someone with unlimited resources - but to wreak so much havoc on your enemy, it is a small price to pay.

Does it ever occur to you that the media has portrayed the world and the events in it falsely, that your opinion is based on lies and garbled information geared to an insane agenda? Do you really think that such a vast portion of the world's population hates US government because of propaganda by the so-called terrorists and not because of heinous acts of gross TERRORISM committed by the US government and its protectorate TERRORIST state of Israel?

The terrorists have not won. They will only win when they actually do disturb social order, which, until this point has not really occurred. The reason that the US is in these foreign countries is because they wish to hinder future progress by terrorist organizations. However there is proof that social order has been restored, and is strengthening by the day. The stock market continues to rise. If there were any fears and concerns the stock market would be severely depressed. Another proof is that people are willing to go outside without fear. There are countries where people must judge whether or not they should go outside, and where they should go based on how dangerous public places are. Thank god we do not have to do so. Terrorists have succeeded in injecting in the minds of the people that there is always a threat of violence and no peace of mind when going to public places such as airports. It was the objective of the terrorists to change the society that people will be paranoid. Thus, the only way to stop their mission is unity among the people to identify and ultimately annihilate them.

People may be fooled temporarily - just look how Americans voted in the last election. Evil-doers always make mistakes and when they do, the fooled ones will see everything clearly again.

I think the terroists are winning because we have people in our country bashing our president like crazy. We have turned against eachother, dont you think they are loving that? Even if you dont like Bush we should remain united as a country and we are not, people would much rather bash our country and our government.
