How can I tell if my silver ring is really silver?

Me and my bf recently bougth silver rings for each other, they do have the 925 stamp, but the colour is not like other silver things I own, is there a way I can know if it is really silver?

If it has the silver stamp that means it is silver. Silver tarnishs. Try cleaning the rings to see if the color lightens up or looks better

Fake silver will leave a green ring around your finger after wearing for awhile. Ketchup will clean tarnished silver, it will remove the coating of fake silver.

If it tarnishes it is definitely silver
