I have a Ph.D. in physics...and I am "religious". Not that I attend church regularly, but I have seen too much in physics to not "believe". Have you derived the wave equation for light from Maxwell's Equations?

In a nutshell, it is possible that God created the Big Bang and "wrote" the laws of physics. Quantum theory allows for a higher being to "tweak" with probabilities and intervene and remain hidden within the theory.

For those "scientists" who use the argument that there is no proof of God's existence:

1) Duh! It's called "faith". It requires no proof.

2) I don't understand why "scientists" want to use science as their foundation for other areas in their lives, such as spirituality. Science is a great tool for describing our universe around us and it can be very powerful. But it is still just a tool. Both religion and science are simply two ways that mankind uses to describe the world around him. They are not required to "mix and match". I don't expect God to make my science experiment work and I don't require scientific proof of God's existence.

Scientific, engineer, agnostic, aetheist and secular.

I know too much about how the universe works to need voodoo and hocus pocus to explain it away.

Keep your mind open, stay true to the scientific method, and let God take care of all the stuff that nobody's figured out yet.........and you should be fine.
