Okay here it goes...

... Is there anyway I can move the library from my Ipod, which is synced to my home computer (windows) to my friends notebook (mac). We hooked it up through USB and messed around with it for a while but alas we could not discover away to get it done.

I thought I remeber my cousin was saying it was possible by turnign the Ipod on to harddrive mode....????

Any help would be appreciated.

And if it helps, his iTunes was still able to play the songs off my Ipod but it was random, but it did show the song title and length info and all that jsut couldm't get it to import the music into his notebook, and we were unable to view what was on my iPod.

typically you cannot copy songs from one iPod to other computers. There is a 3rd party program that allows you to do this. it is intended to help you recover your library if your computer dies and your data is only on the iPod. It should not be used to copy copyrighted songs to a 3rd party.

The program is supper user friendly - iPodRip -- http://www.thelittleappfactory.com/application.php?app=iPodRip

Good luck

i think it is possible to transfer music from comp to comp. in the summary/options sections when ur ipod is hooked up look for a section called "enable disk use" check this box. when u apply the changes your ipod becomes portable hard drive. all you need to do to access the files is open my computer and select your ipod or "removalbe disk"

hope this works. go to the apple website and click on the suopport tab. they can help you there to.

No, you can't put your music from your ipod onto someone else's computer. They made it that way on purpose so it doesnt enable music sharing. You could probably find a program to get around it, but I dont know where.
