Difficult Question, I think Kennedy would have to be number one because he had the balls to take on the mob and the Russians (Cuban Missile Crisis), but I think Reagan runs a pretty close second when he ended the Air Traffic Controllers strike by firing any of them who didn't return to work withing 24 hours. Of all the presidents, the one That I think I'd enjoy going fishing with would be Jimmy Carter, because he comes across as just a regular guy who cares about people.

Of course, President Abraham Lincoln's my favorite, I've collected and read some of his biographies and writings since my high school days. Recently I've bought a hardcover "The Lincoln Reader" edited by Paul M. Angle and published by Rutgers University Press in 1947. It's a second-hand book I paid only US$ 3!

Truman. I've studied a lot of American history over the years and from what I've read by him and about him, he was a decent guy only trying to do the right thing for his country. Plus, he built that kickass balcony on the Whitehouse.

George Washington.

For the following reasons:
(These are abbreviated quotes, I'm sorry, I am unable to name the references off the top of my head right now. Too much going on.)

"Some are born to greatness, others have greatness thrust upon them".

"Any man who chases after power does not deserve it".
