The W stands for widescreen, the S for Subtitles, and AD is Audio Description - you get an overvoice telling you what is happening, a bit like somone commentating. To get the subtitles up on screen or the Audion description you need to press the help button whilst watching the programme which will bring up a little box and change the option from off to on.

I think the 'W' is for widescreen, the 'S' means you can turn on subtitles as they are available for what you are watching and I think the 'AD'may mean Audio something. Not sure. You could always ring sky or check their website.
