I'm late on my period this month and I've heard stress can cause a delay. But I'm worried I could be pregnant, and I've gone an entire month without a period before, but I wasn't stressed. So does anybody know if you can miss an entire period due to stress?

yes, stress will cause you to have irregular periods. It also has alot to do with your age and your body. If you are a month late, a pregnancy test will reveal you being pregnant after 2 weeks. Its nothing to worry over though. All women at some point in their life will have irregular periods. However, it is not good for you to miss your periods months at a time. So if this happens consult a doctor right away.

Stress does play a role on a females menstral cycle, but I never in my years of teaching have I heard of a entire missed period. I would say that you should see a doctor and get a pregnancy test. I do not know if you are sexually active or not but by the sounds of it, you may have been too stressed out and your body is not cycling regularly.

Yes you can, or you can have a really light period that only lasts a day or two. It's happened to me before, and the next one has always been super-heavy and painful.

If this is the first time it's happened, though, you should go talk to a doctor to rule out other causes.

me too before i had missed my regular cycle but its regular now. if you had sex then you should suspect yourself for pregnancy otherwise you are just having a normal irregular cycle.. but if you are past your early puberty years then visit a gynecologist to examine you coz it might be a symptom of reproductive failures/disease or whatever.
