i think "Titanic" is a great, but sad movie. it's a shame that all those people died on april 15, 1912! :(

The movie itself depicted a lot of truth about it, however it's still hollywoods rendition. There were 2 other movies about it years ago. One was called a night to remeber. I don't recall the other one. In the opening scenes when they come up on the Titanic laying there on th eocean floor after 75 yrs. is actual footage taken from the exploration of it several years earlier. If you can find the National Geographic video about it, It shows that same footage when they found it! I couldn't imagine the horor of that happening to me. Especially when there was another large fishing boat within a mile or so that had shut down there morse unit just before it hit the iceburg. They stopped in the night because of that very danger.

I think the whole event is fascinating, personally. I wonder what was going through their minds from beginning to end. But I'm a big history buff, so that's just me!

the actual event was tragic
the movie was even more tragic. all the money they spent on special effects (which were great, i'll admit) and they couldn't get a decent script. how sad. two hours of my life i'll never get back. at least i didn't have to pay for it.

I thought that it was kinda sad, cause you get really involved with leo and the he dies, its just hurtful. But i thought it was a great movie about something that usually bores me, history.
