Where does the Bible forbid same gender?

I asked why same gender marriage should be illegal and a LOT of people said "because the Bible says so."

A. The US is not a theocracy: our laws are not supposed to be based on any religion, so how is this a justification to deny civil rights?

B:... Where does the Bible forbid it?

But even if they do you have to keep in mind that in the old testament the bible also tells a man to divorce his wife if she can't bear children, the wife is then to marry his brother. Also says women are not to work outside the home and they are supposed to defer to their husbands in all things.

Alot of the bible was written to guarantee that Christianity thrived and since homosexuality does not bring children, that is their argument.

Give it up, they couldn't convince right wing Christians that racism was not supported by the bible too.

Oh yea and I browsed around some more, the government doesn't allow it because the U.S. is for the people. When the government passes this law, there will be chaos for many. That is why the government places vote's in state's because this is the people's choice.

WOW< I totally agree with $0.02, the holy scriptures speak for themselves. Also, God created a help mate for Adam and it clearly was a woman named Eve. Not a man named Steve.
