No, but it is sexual harassment. Rape is being forced to have sex against your will. Unless he has sex with you without your permission, it's not rape.
You don't have to be held down, beaten, or brute force used against you for the act to be considered rape. If you say no or he coerces you into it or drugs you, if you didn't want it to happen and/ or couldn't say no, it's rape.
Stay away from this guy. If the harassment escalates, you need to inform your school/ parents/ police, especially because he's in a gang. It could turn into a situation where you might just get raped for real. Rape can screw up your life, I know from experience.
Curious, rape and sexual harassment are not something to be taken lightly. How someone takes something like that has nothing to do with anything. It's sexual harassment, and even if it were her friend- which he obviously isn't- that's still not the way you should talk to someone. Grow up.
Good luck, sweetie and Namaste.

this is consider sexual assualt this is what rape is
The exact definition of “rape,” “sexual assault,” “sexual abuse” and similar terms differs by state. The wording can get confusing, since states often use different words to mean the same thing, or use the same words to describe different things. So, for a precise legal definition, you need to check the law in your state. But here are some general guidelines based on the definitions used by the U.S. Justice Department. Please note that these definitions are a bit graphic, which is inevitable when describing crimes this violent.
Rape is forced sexual intercourse, including vaginal, anal or oral penetration. Penetration may be by a body part or an object.
Rape victims may be forced through threats or physical means. In about 8 out of 10 rapes, no weapon is used other than physical force. Anyone may be a victim of rape: women, men or children, straight or gay.
Sexual assault is unwanted sexual contact that stops short of rape or attempted rape. This includes sexual touching and fondling. (But, be aware: Some states use this term interchangeably with rape.)
Further Explanation:
In the most extreme cases, rape may involve force which may include but is not limited to:
Use or display of a weapon
Physical battering
Immobilization of the victim
More often, however, rape involves psychological coercion and taking advantage of an individual who is under duress or incapacitated and, therefore, incapable of making a decision on his/her own (including under the influence of alcohol, drugs and/or prescription medications).
Rape is a crime motivated by a need to control, humiliate and harm. Perpetrators use rape as a weapon to hurt and dominate others.
Common Reactions to Rape Include:
Shock
Numbness
Loss of control
Disorientation
Helplessness
Sense of vulnerability
Fear
Self-blame/guilt for "allowing" the crime to happen
Feeling that these reactions are a sign of weakness

If he has only verbally threatened you then of course not- rape is only where there is physical penetration. However gang member do have the tendency to try to gain recognition in their gang by committing crimes and rape is one of those. They think it makes them look tough to the other gang members. DO NOT DO ANYTHING TO ENCOURAGE HIM!!!!!! This includes smiling at him, looking at him, or going around him! STAY AWAY FROM HIM! Also tell your school counselor immediately but be careful if he knows it was you that reported his verbal assault then he may try to get you back for it, however, if he said this to you then he has probably said it to other girls too, so it's possible it could be any... Bottom line - play it safe on this and stay away from him!!! Do not walk home from school alone (go with at least four other girls) either or put yourself in situations that might be dangerous. Also tell your parents.

Sweetie,it isnt rape unless he acts on it.If he acts on it is then considered rape. However,it is considered sexual harassment. That is definately something to speak to your parents about, and they may want to contact someone on that situation. It is harassment, and at your age you should not have to be dealing with that whether this person is in a gang or not.It matters not if they are in a gang,if someone says that to you it is harassment. That is not acceptable in any situation.Even if you were an adult, someone saying that to you randomly is harassment. That should not be brushed off, because if it isnt taken care of now,he may act on it.Speak to your parents immediately hun,it is important that you do so.Not only are you protecting yourself, but other females as well, because you do not know what he is capable of doing. Please, talk to someone for your safety.Good luck hun, have a good night.

Stay away from Cash Create and other survey Web sites!
It's a waste of time and will cause you unhappiness.
If you choose to get suckered in and sign up to take surveys and receive free trials considered you were warned. The minute you give them your credit card and personal information you have now opened your computer to unwanted cookies on your hard drive, annoying pop-up windows and if you are on a PC you open your computer to viruses that can wipe you out.

Rape is when he forces you to have sex with him without your consent. Sexual harassment is comments like that one, or any other derogatory remark made towards you in a sexual nature. Both are illegal and you should tell your parents and the authorities immediately in case he is deranged enough to make his treats reality.
Generally speaking though, rapists prefer to remain anonymous. No-one wants to get caught doing bad things. So by telling you beforehand that he is going to 'pop that a$$' is just dumb. The guy is either full of it, trying to scare you just to make himself feel good, or just a complete lunatic.

It is not rape, but stay away from people like that because it can put you in a situation that you can't get out of and that you can regret for the rest of your life.

It is not considered rape if the other person allows you to have sex with him/her.On the other hand it is considered rape if the person says no and you force yourself on him/her anyway.Sex is to enjoy with both parties not just for one.Make sure it is okay to have sex not if you think it's okay to force yourself on them.Size is not the problem but if you are only 14yrs. old you should think twice before having sex.If you let him it's not rape if he takes advantage of you it is and you need to see someone for help.
