don't use whitening ones, my sister did and it can bleach your skin.

I think it has to do with the fact that baking soda or some other ingredient acts to dry out the pimple. Honey works too, just don't put too much on. and not before bed.

Actually, a family friend I know who reads a lot about the common chemicals we as a society subject ourselves to on a daily basis (i.e. moisturizers, shampoo, makeup, soaps, toothpaste) just told me the other day that switching toothpastes was what made my face break out. There is something in toothpaste that clogs and /or adds oil to the skin and causes breakouts. Assuming this is true, then no it will not help.
However, I have heard that rumor before, but I think that was when toothpaste was basically baking soda and water. Maybe try that?

For me it does. But i think it depends on how bad the pimple is. I usually put just a bit on before I go to bed and when I wake up the toothpaste has dried out the pimple:)

Not very well...
Do not put it all over your face like a face mask to find out... It will burn and be opposite of soothing.
However, if you put a little bit on a zit that hurts, I find that it numbs the pain some... You have to keep putting a new dot of toothpaste on it every once in a while, but the result is still the same...

Yes toothepaste really does dry out a pimple or zit or pimple! Zaps it out really fast. Buy drying out the pimple it also drys out the bacteria, puss, and redness! But remeber that you have to have regular old paste not the fancy new stuff! I guess the the powerful chemical Sodium Flouride!

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html

I sure wish it did! As far as I know, though, it sadly doesn't.
If you're itching to get rid of your pimples, why not go to a drug store and get a cheap serum to berid you of them. It's also super important to wash your face every night (and sometimes every morning, for extra- oily skin) to get rid of your pimples, or begin to. Clearisil works best for me, and (while I'm at it) they have inexpensive facial medications that target acne. Noxema is also a good brand.

Here's those company links...

And here's what Target sells to help skin troubles...
