Here's a tough algebra problem(for me at least). Write a point-slope equation of the line that passes through the points (-4,5) and (6,2). Use (-4,5) as the point (x1,y1).

the formula equation for point-slope form is: y-y1= m(x-x1)...the person that answer b4 me is a dipsh*t......

all u need to do now is substitute (plug-in) the given info....

y-5= m(x+4)

to find m (slope)...well f*ck it, ill do it for you...

m=-3/10

THEREFORE: the final point slope equation that passes thru (-4,5) and (6,2) is..... y-5= -3/10(x+4)

Not going to do your question or your homework ,but I will tell you where to look and how to solve it yourself.

There are many forms or a linear equation.

The point-slope form is y = m(x) + b

There is a form that you can use to plug in two points and
then simplify to the point slope form ... I would use that.

It will have x1 and x2 and y1 and y2 as the two points ...
open your book and look for that one and work it out.

point slope formula is y1-y=m(x1-x) your slop is (-4,5) - (6,2) or -10/3

5-y=2/3(-4-x)

can you solve it and put it in y=mx+b from here?

edit those other slops are wrong
slope = y2-y1/x2-x1 2-5/6-(-4)

Heres how you do it:
m=y2-y1/x2-x1
m=2-5/6+4
m= -3/10
