About 10 years ago archaeologists dug up the remains of what is believed to have been a dragon. Watched it on the discovery channel. I believe they are real. Scientists discover new species everyday-we have not even scratched the surface on oceanic life. Yahoo News had a story a few weeks ago about an unidentified species discovered dead that was thought to be a legend-some kind of wolf/dog looking creature on the upper east coast. Just because you haven't seen one doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

We have dragons in modern times, but the ancient day dragon, ABSOLUTELY, I believe they are real. I'm not sure about the whole fire breathing thing, might have been more like an acid spit thing, but there is too much evidence of flying reptiles, for there to NOT have been a Dragon family. Too many stories with dragons in them, too many similar stories from vastly different regions for them not to have existed.

I think they, or something like them, had to be real at some point for folklore to create them. It might have been from just finding dinosaur bones in early civilization, but a pterodactyl type thing, most likely. As for the fire breathing type- while it would be cool, probably not physiologically possible.

Maybe in some alternate universe nowadays. I think there may have been some form of dragon/scary lizard at some point in time, but they are extinct. The stories are too consistent for there to be absolutely no basis.

I read alot about the ancient india culture, and the chinese and others.
There are alot of sayings/stories about ancient people flying around in the sky. The would fire and smoke coming out of back.
