Welcome to the world of us New Yorkers. Puke-taki and Dumberg really FUBAR'D everything and killed the bars with the smoking ban. We now go to indian reservations and Long Island, costing the city MILLIONS. While NYC may be able to afford it, I doubt Ohio would. Good Luck.
To those non-smokers who don't mind when their freedoms are curtailed, remember, tyranny always starts with the small stuff, and eventually moves on to the important things. I'd been smoking since 12, and am now 28. Quit for personal reasons (wife & kids). Because I no longer do it, should I not have the right to put into my body what I see fit?

I believe that the people of the Great state of Ohio would rather see casinos along their rivers than continue to deal with the disease and eventual death caused by cigarette smoking. Not just affecting the smokers; sure, they have the right to smoke; though they do not have the right to self-inflict; That is actually against the law; no, but the threat is real to all those that have to endure secondhand smoke. Ohio would rather save the children of those that smoke. The coworkers of those who must inhale smoke. The employees that must work in smoke-filled facilities. The healthcare costs that arise from smoke-related diseases. Shall I go on? I know that the former Governor Taft's (R) and Sec of State Blackwell's (R) gross negligent mismanagement of the state's funds was terribly draining to the State, but still, not enough to risk life and lung for the tax money. Heavily-regulated gambling however...hmmmmm. Better get those gambler's ID/limit cards ready. Don't want Beemoe or Smitty shooting the rent money 'cross the table.

Only until January, when the Democrats take over the reins of government.
They plan to tax us back to the stone age.

And is it worth it to drive an hour.... or two... or four.... or 5 hours round trip for ciggerettes? To spend all that extra money on gas, and the wear and tear on the car?
Smokers are just like any other druggie... no different in their philosophy and addiction. Only their addiction is still legal.

I would agree based on my preference for civil disobediance. However, I must ask... if smokers aren't really people how can they drive a car?
