Well, think of the most unique characters in the book. Who did things that shook up the town. Forgive me its been a while but Atticus, that's his name right, he was going against the grain by defending the accused man. And the girl, scout or whatever, she wasn't your average little girl. She didn't act the way most in maycomb would have liked her to. And what about that creepy guy down the street. Maycomb county probably didnt have a lot of room for odd shut-ins.
