Why do mealworms glow in the dark?

I'm just wondering cuz I out a little wet peice of toilet paper over them and THEY WERE GLOWING GREEN AFTERWARD!!! Can somebody please explain this to me?

Hi Ellie...their excrement is what you saw glowing. The excrement contains phosphors which glow.
