I don't consider it important, because they taught us ethics in business school and my accounting teacher told us that psycologists say if you don't have a strong since of right and wrong by the age of 7 taught to you by your mother, you won't have one at all. We have more ethics training in school today. And more scandal than ever before. It does not work.

I had to take an ethics class to graduate. I figured it was a waste of time for me. I already know how to formulate opinions. I guess some people never think or come up with their own opinions, for them a class like that might be helpful.

Imo, I believe it's important. Ethical decisions are made everyday in almost every situation.
A course in ethics helps you to expand your thinking and really evaluate decisions and situations before you react on them.
