Walking around helps the labor process, but what you need to do is call your doctor.

I am 40 weeks and 4 day pregnant I have been dilated 2 cm for 1 week and 2 days now and I have contractions about 7-10 mins apart I have been like this since Saturday. my contractions just won't stay will a rhythm the doctor wants so I am playing the waiting game. If you are far enough along they may do a sweeping of the membranes to get things rolling I had this done twice in the past week and still haven't dilated, Also if you are 40+ weeks they may induce you but if you have no contraction and you are not past your date they will let you stay that way until you are closer to your due date. I will be induce most likely this Friday because my baby is big and the doctor fears I will have to have c section if I go any farther along. I hope all is well for you it is good that you are 2 cm dilated just hang in there it is so frustrating to be late but the baby will come when it wants to and some times they can be lazy so we need a little help. I wish you luck

I guess this is your first pregnancy, huh.
Like others have stated, walking around helps, but nothing will really speed the labor and delivery up. Your body will go through the process at it's own pace. Since you're in the early stages, you don't need to rush to the hospital- you could be in labor 48 hours you know. Trying to relax is your best bet. Put on some soothing music, lay down, and just breathe deeply. Call your doc, let him/ her know that you think you're in labor and ask for some advice.
Good luck and congratulations!

Sweety I know you want this to come to a conclusion, wait. Allow you baby to arrive on it's schedule. It's your first act of love. I am sorry you feel worn out. I wish there were something I could do to comfort you. Now is a good time to snuggle with your mom.
