I am of the opinion that if two people love each other and want to commit their lives to each other, this should be celebrated. Why are so many people opposed to it?

Small minds with big pockets. Its a political power game. It's basically a way to get financial support in the political process. And votes. Gays and lesbians are being sold down the river for money and votes. Greed and power. Think that's an oversimplification? Got a better explanation? The same thing happened to blacks before the civil rights movement. And to women before the suffrage movement. Lesbians and gays are just the latest on a long list of exploited minorities. Mull that over.
Now if you could somehow come up with a couple hundred million dollars to back the right candidate in the next presidential election you just might get somewhere. Maybe out of gratitude he'd make engagements legal.

I cant believe someone would ask such a question.
If they allow same sex marriage (gay and lesbian) then it will destroy the whole history of the sanctity of marriage and you must know how important and protected that has been by all of the God faring heterosexuals! Or should I say heterosexual males!
If the sanctity of marriage is destoyed then all those succesfull hetero marriages will fail and we all know they never have failed before. True loving wholesome, faithful, and always adhereing to the marriage vows the heteros have always up held this sanctity.
Plus a man can love a woman and a woman can love a man only, dont people realize that, two guys or two girls cant love each other it is not possible so says the white hetero male.
Rings a bell like what was thought of blacks years ago right they were not human they were bred and inslaved worse then animals.
And women they were not really human enough to be anything but what their husbands wanted and if they didnt have a husband then they were labeled old maids or hussies, easy targets for all of the hetero men to feed off of.
Yes history shows us what the white heterot male can do and how well he can do it too.................just take a peak back in history and you will see the truth......oh and dont look around today at what that creature is doing!
So anyway it is only about certain people committing their lives to each other that matters and that is up to the powerful hetero white males that ruin this earth to decide!

Well I answered your other question for you. Homosexuality in the Bible say's it's an ENORMOUS sin. Lying is a sin, but a major one? No quite, it can be forgiven. But being gay... I don't know.
Homosexuality can be fixed, biologically, some scientists beleive it's a mental problem. Hey, I'm not making this up. I'm just saying what I heard.
Which is why so many beleive it's illegal to get married that way.
