Yes Portuguse is the official Language but you cannot say that those above languages are not spoken in Brazil. They would be more Indians if they were not killed or robbed for their lands and died of germs and viruses brought by the WHITE settlers

Portuguese is the official language and most of people, more than 95% only speaks portuguese!
Few brazilians can speak english as a second language.
In the borders of Brazil, they may speak both portuguese and spanish (castellano in fact)

Portuguese spoken in Brazil is different from Portuguese spoken in Portugal in the same way as American English is different from British English. Our language and culture have been influenced not only by Portuguese, but by Indious people and African ones, as well.

We speak PORTUGUESE that is the official language. We are the only country in south america that speak this language. And dont worry about the idian tribes because there is just a few of them and some speak portuguese.

Don't worry about all the Indian languages and dialects, probably you will never get in touch with one of theses Indians.
