i put up prelit christmas trees on lawn...for some reason timer i have on them makes them blink.. if i plug them in without timer no blinking..is there a trick to these timers?

There is a relay in the timer that is causing the lights to blink. Buy another timer. But before you do, reverse the way you plug the timer in. This may correct the problem.
I really dislike flashing or blinking Christmas lights, so i hope you can gt them fixed.

If the timer does not have an on/auto position I suspect the timer will not handle the wattage of the lights. Get a timer designed for that application. The timer is overheating and tripping internally.
