Normally, once you take a pregnancy test, it is recommended that you report to your doctor to confirm the results. Although OTC pregnancy test are "kinda" accurate, the only way to truly determine pregnancy, is via laboratory test known as Ascheim-Zondek (A-Z test). (see also pregnancy tests that check urine and those that test blood)
Nevertheless, the benefit of birth control pill is not only 99.8% effective in preventing pregnancy, but they also help to make shorter, lighter periods, along with regulating periods. This accounts for the brown discharge and lighter periods - with some up-to-date hormonal birth control, periods only come once every three (3) months.
So I don't believe you should have to worry about a misscarriage from the meds you were prescribed from your wisdom tooth, including the antibiotics. There has never been a report of becomming pregnant when "the pill" is used correctly.
Although you did not confirm the results of the pregnancy test with your doctor, you can count on the results of the five (5) OTC pregnancy tests to be accurate. Within 2-3 months, you body should adjust to the pill, your period should become normal, but if not, consult with your doctor.
Hope this answers your question!

Ok. First, sperm usually only lives in your body for about 3 days. Second, antibiotics can make the pill ineffective. Third, otc tests have gotten much better over the last several years. If you're in doubt, get a name brand one or go to a doctor or planned parent hood and have a blood test to see if you're pregnant. Worrying isn't going to change anything but stress can affect your period. Good luck!

If I were you, I would just go to your doctor's clinic and just get a "real" pregnancy test. They are confidential and no one needs to know if you're worried about it. If you're in college, most schools have a health center and do free pregnancy tests. High schools even have these tests available. Most cities have free clinics where you can have a test done, such as Planned Parenthood. These tests are probably more reliable than OTC tests. They may even be able to do a blood test to check your hormone levels to determine if your pregnant or not.
I really would go get it checked out just to be safe. Antibiotics can make birth control pills less effective, so you're more likely to get pregnant. But also, stressing out can make you miss you period or make it late. If I were you, I'd just go get it checked out. Try not to be nervous, remember you have those 5 negative tests on your side! good luck!

your not pregnant. If you took 5 pregnancy tests which all came out negative your fine. The issue with your period might be stress related. When you have surgery or a stressful event occurs (getting your wisdom teeth pulled, and now all this stress thinking your pregnant) can throw your cycle off. I had surgery a little over a year ago and my period was totally out of whack. It has just now started regulated itself. Just stop stressing, and youll see in a few months everything will be ok.
