This tank is going to cost me a couple thousand dollars and I am just wondering if it is worth?

Well depends on how much you love your pet. What are you planning on putting into it. And no offense but I'd look around were you live and see if you could find some one thats good with carpentry and maybe you could work out a deal with them to build you better cage better suited to you and your pets needs. All the building supply's can be bought at your local lumber supply company, You figure you could probably spend acouple of hundred in materials and pay some $200 to build it and still pay less than $1,000 for it,

If YOU think it is worth it, then it is. If YOU are gonna spend more time stressing out about the amount you spent on it than you will enjoying it, then it is NOT worth it. That is a decision only you can make.
