glfbdglfbd.exe

I was just web surfing, when suddenly the computer makes a lot of noise, so I open windows task manager and there's this weird process running (mentioned above) taking half the system's resources. I searched it on Google, but nothing useful came out.

I ended the process easily, though. It didn't reappear. What should I do now?

any application can create a document, yet now and again they couldn't or dont pick to tolerate the topic the position a document of that call already exists. they could for this reason pick an motor vehicle generated filename created by the operating gadget. you'll see further named Folders contained in the non everlasting internet archives folder thats why its distinct each and every time. we would assume that's undesirable information even though it will be some smart application doing something smart yet i doubt it. you extra useful experiment for malware you could favor to hotel to an off-line scanner to seize it. commonly malware would attempt to self cover. off-line ability no longer booting the community opsys from the problematical rigidity, truly booting a usb or cd(with out nasties on them) a foul one which dont seem to seize a lot is the free MS one you would possibly want to attempt it

You should download a virus protection program. A well known free anti-virus program is called AVG. Look it up on Yahoo search. Download, install, and run a complete search. That should help a little.

Hi there,

This filename has the possibility of being both Good OR Bad.

Examples of BAD versions:
http://fileinfo.prevx.com/filesearch.asp?Sort=B&Filesearch=glfbdglfbd.exe

Examples of GOOD versions:
http://fileinfo.prevx.com/filesearch.asp?Sort=G&Filesearch=glfbdglfbd.exe

The only way to differentiate between a good or bad file is by running a security program that knows of these files. Seeing as Prevx1 knows about these, I would recommend you download and install the Free Trial of Prevx1. This will scan your PC and remove this (if it is a bad version) free of charge.

I would reccomend scanning your computer for viruses and if you don't have a good virus protection to do the job I suggest using a free one that you can download of the internet there are some good free ones out there such as

original poster phy333 http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AsvrmFvSiDC5Y3vraENNoEsjzKIX?qid=20060912202721AA9Vm8e

These are free and they work:

Run the tool and then download the free spyware and virus protection programs:

Malicious virus removal tool:
http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwar...

Ad-Aware Free download:
http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/...

AVG Download free
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1

Good Luck

My avg updates every day when I am online and where Norton and McAfee found viruses but failed to get rid of them, AVG found them and got rid of them for me.

Those are pretty good free ones if you need it.

But otherwise if you have a good one just ignore all that stuff and just scan your comp.

glfbdglfbd.exe is pretty uncommon spyware, it generates different names to go by, and thats one of them. Try downloading Spybot search and destroy here
http://xtechforum.com/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item15
and doing a scan

and then try Ad-Aware
http://xtechforum.com/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item14

After that, Even if that process goes away I would suggest doing a HiJackThis scan and log and either post it on the same site as the downloads or any other computer forum such as tech-forums.net

You can download HiJackThis here.
