They Are Grazers...They Love to Eat Farmers Peas, Corn, And This is something Hunters Plant to Attract them..I'm sure they eat certain leaves and Bushes, Grasses..They Love Salt Blocks Just like Cattle and Horses.I have also heard Hunters Talk about punching a little hole in a can of Applesauce and Hanging it from a tree so It will drip a bit,This is Suppose to Attract them Very Much.. Deer don't need to be fed- they prefer to be left alone. If you find one that will let you feed it do not feed it any salt. Processed salt is bad, bad, bad for animals in general. We have wild deer- we put out salt and mineral blocks which is about the only thing we can really help them with. You can ask a ranch /feed store what they'd recommend. If there isn't one nearby, they love fruit, cookies -like animal crackers, nuts... they are vegetarians. Do not feed chocolate to any animal. Apples aren't digested very well and will ferment in their stomachs making them behave drunk. That doesn't happen quickly. Takes weeks.
Remember, deer are wild by nature. They are unpredictible. Be careful.

Deers eat grass,corn,acorns ect.Yes they will come to a salt block.

We put out a slat block in our pasture and the deer are at it most mornings when I turn out the horses.

I think deer like cows and horses need salt blocks. I can't remember why but they do.
