I don't think upgrading that machine will be worth it, but you can try what the guy did on the link below. But if I were you, I would buy a new machine. You can get a new Dell for a couple hundred bucks that will blow your machine out of the water and will save you a lot of headache.

Don't upgrade it.
First, the motherboard mounting points are probably proprietary, so you can't replace the MB
Second, it is much cheaper to buy a "bare bones" kit with a new case, MB, etc than to upgrade. I used to upgrade stuff all the time, but now it's cheaper (and better) just to buy new stuff.
If you insist on upgrading (don't know why) then you'll have to find a reference to that MB and figure out what processors that Dell put into it. Then you'll want to flash the bios w/ the last bios update. At that point, you go to Ebay and buy the used chip that can run in your system.

As others said, Do not upgrade it, It will be more trouble then it's worth for the very little performance gain you would get.
If you want to upgrade then you are looking at upgrading your motherboard and CPU at the very least, and if you plan to get anything even semi recent and worthwhile, you would be upgrading RAM too, and with all of this you will likely need a new power supply.
To know what parts to recommend we would need to know your budget.
