The 1GB holds up to 240 songs. It really all depends on how long your songs are though, an average song will be around 2 to 3 MB, so it depends on how long your songs are, but around 240 songs.

depends on how large your mp3s are. let's they're 4.5MB on average, the 512 will store over 100 songs, and the 1GB should store the published 240 songs. go get it.
