I need easy words for 5-6 yr old Japanese kids to sing at a concert.
Hello Goodbye is not an option, and although Yellow Submarine is child-like it's vocabulary is not and Why Don't We Do It In The Road is not appropriate.

for the most part, people are assuming that these kids speak English - THEY DON'T. So, songs with a simle chorus but otherwise difficult lines are not very helpful!Hats off to the one who gets the best answer.

We're going with All Together Now - gonna slow the tempo down a little and see how it goes.

All Together Now is probably the most nursery rhymesy of the Beatles songs. I think there's a line about taking your friend to bed, though, so I'm not sure if it's appropriate.

Why not just pick a song with a simple melody like For No One and have the little boy/girl "la la" or "mm mm" their way through the song?

Heh, my first thought was Why Don't We Do It In the Road...until I saw the age group.

PS I Love You

You could have someone sing Hey Jude, then have the kids sing na na na na for five minutes...

Birthday

Good Day Sunshine

Love Me Do

Sun King

Every single early song was simple and basic. Kids love them.

When I'm sixty four.
She loves me, yeah yeah yeah.
Yesterday.
Hey Jude
Baby you can drive my car (kids love car songs!) I would pick this one, you could make a big car cut out for them to stand behind. Cute!

Hmm, good one. Try "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" or "Julia" or "I Will"

Maybe go out on a limb & do solo McCartney's "Mary Had a Little Lamb". VERY cute for kids. Go to youtube & watch it...
