I have a Mazda MX6 LX '92 non-turbo. The tie-rods are knocking due to the fact that I did not grease them the last time I replaced them (outers of course.) I don't want to do it myself and mess it up again, and need a good quote. Assuming the inner and outer of both sides need to be replaced, what is a good price with labor, alignment and parts?

I am saying outers only because I am almost 99% positive that that car has sealed outer tie rods factory usually 8-10 yrs there bad anything beyond you have had good luck :) but could be both .
I am going to have to agree with dodgeman that the parts will be more expensive than the labor , depending on where you go to have that fixed. I'm guessing $40-50 inners and $25-35 outers $50-80 a side labor is norm and $25-50 for a realignment .$250 total would be a great deal but I would prepare more for $300.

If you need inner and outter tie rods it would be cheeper to replaced the rack-n-pinion in the long run, the rack likely has ware and will lead to other problems, you will also need an alignment, if your tires are feathered or worn on one side then you will need two new tires or the two from the rear exchanged if there in good condition without abnormal wear. The labor will be likely 3.0 hours labor for the tie rods not included alignment. The remanufactured Rack is only about $200.00 or near that plus three hours labor by most technicians. Either job is easy to do on that car. Good Luck
and GOD Bless.
