Pick an area of your yard with good mulchy soil. Just put them into the soil. If the critters don't eat the seed then they will sprout next spring. Mimoas like lots of nourishments and moisture. So-
fertlize with something like Ozmocot, It's a slow release granular and be sure and water regularly. It should hit four to five feet the first season. In two years your tree should be 15 ft or more. The life expentantcy is short for a tree usually 15 to 20 years. So in 10 years start a new one to replace the other when it dies, If you get enough going you won't grieve so much when you loose one. They are one of the fastest growing trees, and after they bloom they will be throwing their seeds everywhere.

Yep, agree with all. Plunk em in dirt, water, wait and watch. I live in the country also with lots of wild mimosas, want seeds or a sapling? I'll send you some.

Just plant it and water it and then leave it alone... It takes a few years to get even four or five feet tall but it will happen.
