Anyone familiar with Chicago ambulance's?

I was just wondering if anyone has seen the Chicago FD Ambulance's from the 90's? I noticed that a couple have square lights on the sides and others have smaller lights? Are the big lights for the ALS ambulances? And the little ones for BLS?

no the lights have nothing to do with it
