you don't have to go to hell, you're already there, this is hell. I can argue a long time about why hell doesn't exist, but if you are Christian, I will offer you reasons from your own Bible:
1.) the word "hell" was used synonomously with the word "hades" meaning the underworld, in the old testament. It was given this horrible meaning only in the new testament, along with some poor translations...
2.) the word "eternal" was not in the Greek and Hebrew original Biblical texts. "Eternal" was an erroneous translation, so the idea that hell is eternal was invented during the translation, so even if the Bible is true and God exists, you can't conclude that it is eternal.
3.) the Bible says everyone will eventually be saved, even Satan I think. Now doesn't that contradict the idea of an eternal hell? Yes it does.
4.) In my opinion, the biggest sin of all is to say God is some kind of monster who torments people in fire for eternity. This seems like a great blasphemy to me.
5.) Even religious scholars say hell is merely a separation from God. God could not be selfish or anything. If he truly loves you, he will want you to be happy, even if it means not being with him, so why would he punish you for not believing?
6.) People who read the Bible take everything literally and do not understand the metaphorical meanings behind things. To say that Satan causes evil is bullshit. It is an excuse for bad behavior, and that's it. "Satan made me do it," hahahaha. Besides that, why would God allow "Satan" to negatively influence us?

I do believe in some sort of "karma" (though I am not Buddhist or anything), because it doesn't make sense that some people can be so mean and get away without some sort of damage, even if the damage is purely psychological. I doubt there are really any serial killers or rapists who truly find happiness, and that alone is a hellish experience.

Hell is a state of being. Many people are living it now. It is a false ideal presented by religion to soak money from parishioners believing they are buying their way into heaven but it is so they can feed their greed through control using fear. There is a place we go to but it is only so we can regroup before we come back.

Hell is not a place-- rather, it is a relationship with God. Hell can be described as a "bad" relationship with God, a connection that is very distant from each other, while heaven can be described as a "good" relationship with God, a connection that is very close together. Many people depict hell as a fiery pit with devils, but, however, hell, or heaven, can be a relationship with you and God.

There is nothing like " hell "....this is just a word to threaten and set right people who always cross the road of life abnormally according to their whims and fancies in life...like unmanned railway gate...... a horse without bridle and a Jacky to drive....... hell is what we are experiencing in this life due to idiocy and ignorance of others ...some time by our own.

In the Vedas it is explained that there are so many different hellish planets depending on ones type of Karma or past sinful reactions they are due to them is which one they go to. No one goes there eternally as the fundamentalists think. King Constantine changed the Bible to say one goes there eternally but no one goes there eternally. Only as long as their sinful duration requires. There is hellish suffering on Earth as well but it is mixed with other types of material so-called pleasure (good Karma) and heaven (the material one) is for those who have good Karma to receive. Its all temporary though. One should take to the process of Bhakti and chanting the Maha Mantra to stop this repeated cycle of Birth death, old age and disease. So we don't have to come back to the material world but go to our eternal blissful spiritual abode. go to stephen-knapp.c for details I can also give you a direct link to the process of chanting the Maha Mantra

Don't believe in a Hell!! Or a heaven either!

What I may or may not experience after death is a mystery so I don't bother worrying about it.
