Yes I am sure the Russian government was very intimately involved in his assassination. He was a KGB guy who broke rank, so it's not entirely surprising. Like any other intelligence service, the KGB (now called what the FSB?) has a variety of people working there. Some might be spies, but don't like dirty politics - especially involving something like the war in Chechnya. The Russian mafia probably had nothing to do with it as I believe Litvinenko was friendly with Berezovsky (who lives in Brittain in exile). I could be wrong about that. In any case, I doubt the Russian mafia has the professional expertise to pull off such a murder. It has the Russian government/KGB stamp written all over it. The KGB has special institutes which teach their agents how to assassinate by specialized means like this and like ricin.
I saw an interesting bumper sticker here today. It said: "Vladimir Illich PUTIN SUCKS!" For those who don't know, Illich is not his middle name but the middle name of Lenin.
I hope the press does not let this rest.
Addition: My husband says Litvinenko was part of a KGB team that was sent to assassinate Berezovsky, but he revealed the plot to him. After that Berezovsky bought Litvinenko a house in England, so they were on excellent terms. It looks to me like this is the primary reason why Litvnienko was assassinated, and why Putin's crowd are trying to blame it on Litvinenko.

This whole thing was the Russian government flexing its muscles yet again, and there will be lots more to come when the East Europeans join the EU and are allowed to come into this country.
The Russian government are the most devious and, unforgiving nation in the world and history has shown that they never forgive or forget, they will wait years to get revenge on anyone they see as a threat to their corrupt dealings.
We need to be very worried for the future as things will only get a lot worse.

China????WTF! And for the guy that mentions Cuba, the communist island state isn't that a approaches from the Floridian Keys. global regulation facilitates them to do although interior of their prolonged obstacles. in case you want better drilling in the rustic obstacles, maximum individuals does no longer merchandise if it were finished in a sparkling ecologically pleasant way - something maximum massive oil agencies do no longer discover irresistible to do. i urge you to the contact the large oil agencies to clean up their act & teach they could responsibly drill offshore.

Unfortunately the page may well just be turned. It is a sad case however, i dont believe he was an angel but i also dont believe his death should just be shrugged off either. However, it does happen, look at what happened with lady Diana.

You can't handle the truth
Unless you have access to files regarding covert operations and you know what really happened, it's hard to comment.
