"Leo + Scorpio
Fire + Water = Steam
Both of you have an incredibly powerful will — and you will both need to feel respected by your partner if you’re going to make a go of this one. You’re both a tad inflexible, to say the least, and Scorpio’s iciness could take a long time to thaw under your sunny Leo rays. If you’re patient enough, though, they will come around and show you their softer and more sensitive side.
Scorpio is sensual, emotional and intense. This type of energy will definitely draw you into a powerful emotional relationship. Both Leo and Scorpio are extremely romantic —they tend to mate for life.
When we look for a combination of Leo and Scorpio, we needn’t go any further than Bill and Hillary Clinton. Bill Clinton is the epitome of strong leadership, which is what Leo is all about. Hillary is just as proud, confident and determined as him. There’s no doubt that Hillary’s support has had a huge impact on Bill Clinton’s political life. Theirs has been an incredibly strong bond, surviving many scandals and challenges.
Scorpio has a fascination with death and the afterlife. If these sorts of topics unnerve you, ask Scorpio to back off for while. You have tremendous respect for Scorpio’s mind; also, you’ll want to prove your own worth in this area. Go for it! If you show Scorpio you’re up to the task of philosophical investigation, they will be even more intrigued and enchanted by you.
Those Scorpios born between 3 November and 12 November are pretty well suited to you. If you are born between 5 August and 14 August, this compatibility is increased. For other Leos there can be some conflict, even confusion, so it’s best not to get into a long-term, committed relationship with these Scorpios.
Scorpio is not quite as overt about control and power. You like to show your dominance, but this could be the wrong tactic with them. That is particularly so with those born between 13 November and 22 November. This is a gentler breed of Scorpio, and your sometimes overbearing ways may be a little too hard for them to handle.
Scorpios born between 24 October and 2 November are particularly powerful and intense. They have strong sexual appetites and will probably jump you before you can say ‘Jack be nimble, Jack be quick …’"

Ok, after reading this I had to answer. Rule number one whenever going into a relationship, or about relationships period: Never, I repeat, never expect to change a person. You sound like you're willing to do anything for this person, and have convinced yourself that if you just work hard enough that everything will be perfect. You're putting an enormous amount of responsibility on yourself for the actions of a person you cannot control. Only he can help himself.
It also sounds like you think you're perfect for him, but he may not be perfect for you. If he's a scorpio, he's a fixed sign: highly, almost dangerously, stubborn. He won't do a thing if he doesn't want to, no matter how much you'll want him to, and the more you push the more he'll dig in his heels, become resentful, or worse, highly manipulative. Scorpios are secretkeepers; he might just drink when you're not around.
If the scorpio hasn't responded to your overtures, it's possible he's just not into you. Scorpio's are flattered when their chased, but if you come across as desperate in your desire to be with him, he'll equate that with weakness, and Scorpio's can't stand weakness. Power and strength is sexy.
On a final note: Scopio's are the sign of death and rebirth. They can be highly idealistic, or, perhaps in this case, self-destructive. That's just how it is. Scorpios have to change themselves, and they do that through their deep sensitivity and (hopefully) self-awareness. Or they don't change at all.
Understand that you're dealing with a water sign, and you're a fire sign. He could really dampen your bright outlook. All in all, don't blame yourself if he fails. Scorpios learn through their own mistakes.

When Leo and Scorpio come together, they often create a vigorous and powerful team. They understand each other's needs well; Scorpio needs to be respected and desired while Leo wants to be adored and complimented. They are both strongly loyal, often possessive of each other. Both partners are able to provide what the other needs and enjoy each other's strengths.
Leo likes comfort and luxury, often doing things on a grand scale. Leo tends to be flamboyant, and Scorpio will like that and will be happy to give Leo the audience they require as long as there is equality in the relationship. Leo is shines brighter and more insistently, becoming magnificence and luxury personified. Scorpio will appreciate being relieved of any pressure to be in the limelight but will be content to control the fundamentals. Because both Signs are so determined, these partners really need to work to understand and accept each other.
Leo is ruled by the Sun while Scorpio is ruled by the Planets Mars and Pluto. The Sun is about ego and self, and it radiates warmth and light. Leo indeed radiates this kind of energy and enthusiasm. Mars is about war, brashness and battle, and Pluto is the influence on Scorpio's hidden thoughts. Ruled by the House of Sex, Pluto influences the idea of regeneration and rebirthing that is a current theme in Scorpio's life. Together, this bounty of masculine energy is why Leo and Scorpio soften their conflicts and sustain each other. The Sun represents life, and Mars and Pluto represent ambition and the unconscious; as long as they are careful to understand each other, their combination is a positive and ambitious one.
Leo is a Fire Sign and Scorpio is a Water Sign. Leo wants social freedom, while Scorpio has a shifting, viscous personality. Both Signs want to be the the leader in different ways, and this common desire may be a source of discontent. Like the Elements that influence them, these two are capable of destroying one another. At times, their relationship may not be a harmonious one. However, both partners will realize that these petty disputes are of no real consequence, and as long as they can keep their egos aside and allow the relationship priority, their conflicts can usually be resolved.
Scorpio and Leo are both Fixed Signs. Both can be rigid, opinionated and resistant to change. Both partners tend to persist when working toward their goals. If they have a plan, they'll stick to it until they get what they want. They usually share a distrust of change, preferring life to be stable and steady. If they have differing ideas on the same subject, they may find themselves in a never-ending power struggle. Scorpio won't change their mind because they see it as a sign of weakness, and Leo may see Scorpio as being too intolerant. If they understand they're on the same side in the grander scheme of things, it's much easier for them to remain productive.
The best aspect of the Leo-Scorpio relationship is their mutual dedication to each other and the projects they partake in. Both Signs have very powerful, yet strategically different, personalities. They are seen as a strong pair by others, and their mutual commitment to fulfilling their goals makes theirs a powerful relationship.

Leo's and Scorpio's make good lovers and good friends. How do I know I'm a Leo and he is a Scorpio. Mine also has a drinking problem and if you truly love him you will have to take him like he is or let him go. You can't change him, protect him, or anything else. He is who he is and that is the person you love. Do you really want to make him into something that he isn't? Lots of luck no matter what you decide.

Leo and Scorpio Compatibility
Hello, Leo and Scorpio! As Sun Signs go… you and your lover share what's traditionally called a Challenging Element.
What this typically means is that the two of you may be very different and at cross purposes in your individual styles of thinking, communicating, and relating.
The bond of love shared between two lovers is, of course, a given. That bond will naturally help toward smoothing out many of the rough spots encountered in your relationship. However, at times, the two of you may have to be prepared to put out extra effort in working toward truly understanding one another and developing mutual appreciation of the other person's differences.
Leo and Scorpio
Part 2 of 2
Leo is a Fire Sign and Scorpio is a Water Sign. Leo demands the freedom to mingle, while Scorpio has a chameleon personality. Both Signs want to lead, but in different ways, and this common desire could end up causing ripples in an otherwise steady, smooth relationship. Like the Elements that influence them, these two have the ability to cancel one another out. At times, their relationship may not be so harmonious. However, both partners will realize that petty disputes are only a distraction, and as long as they can keep their egos at bay and give the relationship top priority, their conflicts can usually be resolved.
Scorpio and Leo are both Fixed Signs. Both can be rigid, opinionated and resistant to change. They both tend to be persistent when working toward their goals. If they have a plan, they'll stick to it until they get what they want. They usually share a reluctance to change, preferring a stable and steady road. If they have dissimilar ideas about something, they may end up in a never-ending cycle of struggles. Scorpio won't budge because to them, it would be a sign of weakness. And Leo may think Scorpio is being too self-righteous. If they understand they're on the same side in the larger scheme of things, it's much easier for them to remain productive.
What's the best aspect of the Leo-Scorpio relationship? It's their shared sense of dedication to one another and the projects they partake in. Both Signs have very powerful, yet strategically different, personalities. They are seen as a strong pair by others, and their dedication to fulfilling their desires makes theirs a strong love match.

Hi, I couldnt help but answer this question when I stumbled on it. I am a scorpio myself but the man Im in love with is an older pisces. We have been in a 3year power struggle, he has many several amazing changes but there are miles to go . I think he may have hit his "growth potential"so to speak. I am slowly (because Im so stubborn!) learning that this might be the "best" he'll ever be. Its now up to me as to what I will & will not tolerate.
Speaking from a scorpio standpoint you do have an advantage, I know that when a scorpio TRULY LOVES you, theres nothing we wont do for you, even change ourselves as hard as it is. But DONOT give him the impression that you will tolerate anything he does to you, otherwise he will treat you like a door mat, as many men will. Take care

Leo/ Scorpio
This is a fervent blend of personalities, with strong emotions and passions brewed up hot on a cosmic burner. Both of you are fixed personalities -- you're not given to changing your stance, so when you two don't see eye to eye, the dishes could start flying! Still, to watch Scorpio-Leo couples, you can't help but wonder if they deliberately egg one another on just to have the opportunity to get steamed up and overwrought and then fling themselves into the sweet lovemaking that inevitably follows.
The dynamic tension of both of you wrestling for control keeps this relationship teetering on the edge, but it appears that is exactly where you both prefer it -- it certainly keeps things exciting! The heat you two generate is so intense it could light a bonfire. Scorpio's power is more mysterious and emotional, with a wide and deep spectrum of feelings. You can't always know the extent of your Scorpio's feelings because those still waters run deep. Scorpios speak little and aren't likely to wear their hearts on their sleeves. They think this may compromise their position, at least in the beginning. Initially it is easier for your lover to feel your affection than the other way around.
You are ruled by the Sun, and your smile could melt polar ice caps! Scorpio's joint rulers are Mars, the warrior, and Pluto, lord of the underworld (and all things existing under the surface). This is why their feelings can't always be discerned, and it gives them their legendary mystery. When a Scorpio loves, he or she loves with his or her whole heart, an obsession you can only guess at. You will get a hint of it in that bewitching gaze Scorpios are known to give the ones they love. With Scorpio, everything is in the eyes, the mirror of the soul.
Neither of you is casual with anything -- especially not each other. Possessiveness is part of the territory, but since you both are that way, there isn't a problem. Once mated, Scorpio is yours for life, though you are a less possessive personality and might have trouble returning Scorpio's loyalty.
You, Leo, are extravagant and Scorpio is highly sophisticated when it comes to investments. Thank Heaven! Scorpio might be horrified at your spending, and beg you to keep to your budget, but the regal Lion is unhappy with limits. Leos think that cutbacks don't belong in a successful castle. In the end, water (Scorpio's element) is more powerful than fire (your element), and could prevail when tossed with force on Leo's flame.
Your relationship has to be handled with care because you are both such strong personalities. If you fall out of favor with one another, it could be a clash of the titans, complete with thunder and lightning. Try not to compete with each other, but instead, allow for each other's differences. Stubbornness on both sides will be the biggest danger. Deal with this effectively and you have a pairing with the strength of iron and flexibility of steel -- certainly stuff that is made to last. You have the possibility for a most powerful union -- make it work!
