it's by esteban. that is a real guy and is very good. it is an acoustic or you can go fancy and get an acoustic/electric. the strings are easy to press down and therefore easier on the fingers. now remember, your fingers are gonna hurt anyway but i found that if it's easier to push down then the easier it is on the fingers. he also has videos that show EVERYTHING basic about the guitar. from the sting numbers to frets to chords to whole songs. it is also a cheaper brand so if you happen to mess it up then you won't be as mad as you would if you bought a top end guitar. my first guitar was an esteban and i still have it and prefer the sound of it over my fender. i highly encourage you to get it. but, there's nothing wrong with getting a fender of course. it also has great sound and most of the time the strings are easy to push but the frets are closer together so more finger work goes into the sound. and if you don't mind spending that kind of cash.

If you want to learn electric guitar, I would recommend a Mexican Fender Stratocaster. They are excellent guitars for the money. They are very versatile and can be used for virtually any style of music.

If you want an acoustic guitar, I would highly recommend a Seagull S6. There is not a better built acoustic guitar under $500.

Well, I don't know a specific one, but don't go cheap. some people think that beginners need cheap stuff- this is false. Try to find a place with good prices, probably not a big store but a family owned one or something. you shouldn't bu something below $200, prfereably $400+ unless you are on a budget. Fender and Epiphone are good beginner guitars from my experience.

Ive always been a fan of Jackson guitars myself, but those can be rather costly. My beginning guitar was a Gibson, which are pretty good. It just depends on your own style of music your trying to play.

I started with a Yamaha Acoustic and it worked fine for me. My daughter started with a Peavy and still plays it 6 years later.
