open Irfanview
you can either
click on - File (top left corner) then click on Open
- or - the yellow folder (with a bent down arrow on top of the folder) to open the folder which contains your photos you want to resize
(you can only do one pic at a time)
once you see the pic - click on it - this opens the pic in to Irfanview
- next click on Image (at the top of the window)
- click Resize/Resample
- that will pop a small window up (called Resize/Resample image)
- there are 2 ways you can resize -
to make the pic bigger:
- click on the circle next to - Set new size - delete the number in the width or height box and type in a larger number
to make the pic smaller - type in a smaller number
(when you start typing in either box (example - width) - you will notice the other box (height) automatically gets inserted
or
- click on the circle next to - Set new size as percentage
to make it bigger - delete the number in the width box (example 100 ) - and type in 150 (the number in the height box automatically gets inserted)
- next click OK
the pic should enlarge
- to make it smaller
type in a smaller number in the width box
click OK
once you get it to the size you want
- click on File (top left corner)
- click Save As - this will pop up the Save As window - make sure it saves to the same location - you can also rename the pic (if you want) and also - you can change which format you want to save it as - example if your pic is in .bmp format - you can change the format to .jpg (by clicking on the drop down arrow next to the Save as type:
once you have all the info you want it saved as

you open your photo, then you click image, go down to resize and resample, now here's where it get's tricky.
You see where it says width, if your width is say 600, you want to take it down to a 450, something like that, if its a 1000, take it to a 500, basically you want it to be 500 or less, and you keep decreasing until myspace accepts your upload, hope this helps ya. :)

I had the exact same issue! I used photobucket.com and was able to make the pictures small enough for my MySpace page. It is free and it gives the html line too. If your anything like me you will appreciate that :)
