i have a 2000 chevy when i open my doors it does not turn off it did be for i got into acciendt.

there is a switch it the door jam it might be stuck in

If the inside lights don't come on when you open the door then it could be that the switch (or botton) inside the door jamb is stuck in (like how the lights come on in an old refridgerator or freezer). Does it turn off after you sit in the car for 5 minutes after the car has been turned off and the key removed?

do the interior lights fixtures come on once you open your door? that is the circuit that turns off the radio once you shut off the motorcar. not in any respect considered this problem yet i might want to commence through checking fuses.

Does the dome light come on when you open the door? I thought that these were on the same system.

the fix is at the dealership----ask how much before they start work on your car...
