I agree. I guess "waste" is in the eye of the spender, though.

Well that's quite the answer above mine here lol. I guess they want to feel important, have the latest technology, and be "cool". That's what I'm thinking. I have a cell phone, I could get net or mail or IM on it but I choose not to, you don't need that stuff. My phone is just for if I'm out and about and am expecting an important call or have car problems, some emergency. It is also nice though if you want to call in a pizza to pick up after the grocery store lol. But why is a phone that much, man, mine was $40.00 and I thought that was robbery. I bet you a $500.00 phone has a camera, tv, internet with mail/im/maps the works on it. If she's in debt she should be paying debt off first before updating anything.

I really don't know. I saw this one phone that was $3,000 because it had a damn diamond in it. All I use mine for mostly is to text because I can't use my phone at work, so if something happened to my baby I can know. But I guess it is up to the person. I collect video games and that is kind of expensive. But not a 500.00 video game. I want the ps3, but 600.00 is alot and I'll just wait for the price to go down I don't need it that bad

I have internet on mine and that's tremendous for e mail and fb. it isn't with the help of any skill as quick as intense speed internet yet i love it for searching up issues that pop into my ideas and that's effective understanding I have various of files at my fingertips. Defiantly worth testing, and in case you don't love it, you may continually eliminate it out of your plan.

For real, technology is awesome, but it goes too far and I know I can survive without checking my e-mail for at least 5 days so it shouldn't be to too bad to go like 9 hours without it, but then again everybody is different....

People have different hobbies. Your cousin's hobby is cell phones, so leave him alone. There are a lot of people out there who spend a lot more money on other hobbies.
