Ive replaced the alternator 5 times now in the past month and everytime im told the voltage regulator has gone bad, a certified mechanic has done all the work and they have gotten the alternators from 3 differnt places now, today i get it back and after I got home it started again , Im pretty good with cars but this ones got me stuck, what else can do this or what can be making the voltage reg go bad so many times in a row ? Thanks

the only thing I can tell you is get a origional alternator from Ford and see if that fixes the problem, most aftermarket alternators are cheap and use cheap parts to rebuild them, I know an origional is very expensive but so is replacing 3or 4 of them.
