Why do some people think that just because the U.S have historically black colleges, they're racist?

And have the people who made this claim actually attempted to attend these schools?

Has anyone attempted to attend these schools?

Have they been turned away?

Please, give examples.

They are just jealous because they would like to have many white schools of their own. But just think we wouldn't have had to have BLACK colleges if their was no slavery or racism. So it isn't our fault. Just think psychologically for a minute!

Well because if white people were to have a all white school minorities would start an uproar, for example iam pretty sure harvard HAS to let in a certain amount of miniorites so they wont look like they are discriminating... but i dont see a problem with it unless white people apply to the school and are rejected...

just because there are hbcu, does not make the colleges racist....it is basically the same thing as a regular college or university. the hbcu's have a small percentage of white or other races and the regular schools have a large population of whites with small population of blacks.. etc. so i think someone would be stupid to say that, that is being racist or creating segragation all over again.



And hbcu stands for historically black colleges and universitys....this does not mean that only blacks can attend for anyones information....all this means is that is founded by blacks just as harvard or princeton or any other non hbcu school was founded by probably somebody white.......it is not racist...b*^$%#@

a number of it needs to flow away. and that i'm a Liberal. No subject with wager, Universities like Grambling and Howard or perhaps Black elegance pageants. Black historic previous month and how it incredibly is carried out is my subject. it incredibly is what happens in my faculties - The month in the past black historic previous month, pupils spend a million week writing comments on and celebrating MLK. - In Black historic previous month, all application concentration gets tossed and re-directed to African American analyze. In 4th grade, they could be analyzing Asian lifestyle. So, Asian lifestyle stops and that they concentration on African American analyze. thoroughly aside from the subject being studied. Black historic previous month because it applies to faculties needs to flow away and the analyze ought to included into the popular application.

You may have noticed I said AMERICAN and not African American. Why do you suppose it was stated that way? Think about it.
AND while you are thinking about that, try this one for size. WHO do you suppose perpetuates the seperation of white and black in this country? People that the most uneducated blacks and whites look up to; such as Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Bill Clinton, Louis Faracon(sorry if I mis-spelled his name) and not surprising the Democratic Party. Let me guess, you don't believe it. I would suggest you read allot deeper then you currently may.

I don't understand why there is all black colleges, and that should be just fine, but try starting an all white college, and you get riots
a few miles from my house they hold blacks only A.A. meetings, when did alcoholism become a race issue?

You are dreaming-why are they all black?. They had to amend the laws to keep them, why? But we can not have all White colleges. Now some turn out that way-but it is not planned. Predominantly white colleges have to bend over backwards to invent programs to get blacks to attend-and then get real creative in finding ways for them to pass, and who pays for it ? Not racist? Hmmm

There is no such thing as an all black school..not now..There was discrimination in the past..racism in the past regarding colleges..in the past there were institutions that were labled as: "all white", and "all black"..but not now

Do whites have all white schools? NO ~ why? because they would be considered racist. Why does everyone insist on all this special treatment. I say your grades should place you in college, not affirmative action. Sorry.

Remember segregation laws? Now blacks are trying to segregate themselves.
