My mom grows these, great basic hanging plant. They don't like full sun; partial shade is best. They like a good amount of water. Cuttings from this plant transplant very easily.
Either your local nursery or a garden book from the local library may be a better resource than the internet in this case.

A Wandering Jew is a plant that seems to flourish anywhere and everywhere. It can take enormous amounts of neglect, in fact it can become invasive under ideal conditions. It thrives in sun or shade. If it is in shade it is not as purple as it is in the sun. It self seeds with relative ease as well as having a creeping habit. It is often used for hanging baskets or as a ground cover in large gardens. In full sun it can be spectacular as it is a distinct purple (the whole plant) with small mauve flowers. I think it is probabely called a wandering Jew because they are widely distributed (unfortunately I dont know where they originate from) and are survivors. I hope this is of some help.

This is an easy plant to take care of. use normal potting soil and water it weekly with a little Miracle Grow.
It likes medium light.

Just water them - they can live anywhere, even a bathroom. Trim off the babies and discard or put them in pots too to keep it looking neat. Oh and keep it out of cat's reach if you don't want it chewed.
Peace!
