Another user's questions prompted me to ask this: Why are incestious relationships illegal in all 50 states, but homosexual relationships legal? If the government can't legally stop two men or women from having a sexual relationship, then why do they have the right to keep 2nd cousins from having a sexual relationship?

No, I'm not homosexual, nor have I had or ever thought of having incest. It just seems unfair that you can't have sex with your 2nd cousin, but you can have sex with someone of the same sex. lol

Well, at least in a homosexual relationship you won't breed.

No, just kidding. Incest is amoral (not that homosexuality is not either, but just less wrong I suppose). The thing is that incest affects society more than homosexuality does. Incest radically changes the structure of a family, for instance if a daughter and a father are together, then the father becomes the father of his grandson :P. Not only that, it just does not follow the structure of a family which is similar for all cultures of the world (if you haven't noticed). And if you allow incest, that means that if a father has sex with a daughter and if his victim is unwilling to speak up, that might render the state unable to persecute the aggressor as Incest Is Legal and therefore what they have done is Right (although we all know that it is wrong).

Btw, 2nd cousins having a relationship is not incest...or is it? 2nd cousins are Distant Relations only.
I suppose if this is not allowed, it is only to prvent legal loopholes that would allow for incest to take place.

Homosexuality is a different thing altogether. It is two unrelated adults in a relationship. Just like any relationship just that it is same-sex which (in the eyes of the law) just mean that the couple looks different from a usual couple.

Homosexuals don't reproduce, incestual siblings reproduce.

I guess reproduction are shunned by governments.
