his supporting cast hasn't been that great. if he was on a better team, i think we'd all be calling him a superstar.
then again, peyton manning single handedly turned a crappy team into a superteam. carr certainly hasn't proven he can carry this team on his shoulders..

NO; Dom Capers was a poor choice as a coach for this expansion team, David Carr was a good pick, the Texans should have traded with New England for Drew Bledsoe given him the starting job and let Carr learn his position. Tom Brady is the best QB in the NFL he walk the sidelines for 3 years. The Texans handle Carr's transition wrong and the franchise and Carr are suffering for this decision. He'll need another 2 years to be the QB he would have been by last year. TEXAS SPORTS I love it but don't understand it.

Well, it's hard to say that entirely. He's not a Ryan Leaf bust.
Even this year for a large chunk of the season he lead the NFL in passer rating. Kubiak was really helping his decision making.
It's hard to label him a bust when he's leading the league in times sacked. Their line is dreadful, and they have never had enough dominant offensive players. DD was okay, and Johnson is good, but that's about it.
Disappointing to be sure, with his potential. I'm not sure anybody could succeed behind that line. Watch them trade for Jake Plummer...

David Carr stinks. It's not his O-Lines fault completely. He can't complete passes, he sucks under pressure, and he acts as if his feet are in cement. David Carr AND his O-Line are terrible! that's what they get for picking that kid first...uhhh...what's his name again?

I think it's too early to call his career a bust. He has alot of potential, just no O-line to help him out. I think he'll be ok..
