How do I do sin^2 (any number) in my graphing calculator?

Like this: (sin x)^2

Realize that squaring of the trig functions are not expressed in the same way other functions are....

sin^2(x) means really (sin x)^2

Take the value of sin X and square the result.

In calculator, you'd type "(" SINE_KEY ")" "^2"
Be sure to put the parenthesis in the right place. You do NOT want to square the x first then pass it to the sine function.

(sin(1.3))^2 = about 5.15

just find sin(1.3), then square it

(sin(.4pi))^2 = about .3455
