Twelve years of age is not too late for you first period. I thought the same thing when I did not have mine. I asked my mom and she said she had hers when she was 15 years of age. I started mine when I was 14. I was relieved and upset at the same time.

Nope! It can start anytime from even 10 to 13 or 14, maybe even younger or older. It depends on the person, but if you don't get it by 15 or 16, you should really speak to a doctor.

Oh, don't worry, I didn't get mine until I was 15 and at the very end of ninth grade. My mom thought maybe the fact that I had such a low body weight could have played a part in it coming later. So don't worry about it, your time will come eventually.

I started the first week of high school. It was funny because I didnt know what it was at first because I thought it was going to be bright red. It creeped me out because it wasnt red and it just kept coming out. (I didnt have a mom to daughter talk about this)

Nope....some don't even get it till they are about 15 or so....just all depends on your body. Don't worry about it. You will wish you didn't have it after a few years and it last for many years!
