PRESIDENTS

My favorite president is Franklin D. Roosevelt (1933-1945) because he helped the United States in many ways. He was such a good president because he was elected 4 times. He was the president who invented the Social Security system. He helped the British in WWII before we were attacked. He led us to the Bay of Pigs Invasion and he made great decisions during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He also created the New Deal program to help the United States out of The Great Depression by helping the poor by creating new jobs that served citizens. He also led us through WWII.
My second favorite president is John F. Kennedy (1961-1963) even though he was president for a short time. His life was cut short because of his assassination. The murder was a shock to the United States because almost everyone loved him. It was a traumatic experience for the whole entire nation. He also was the President who began the Space

1. Your second sentence is almost certainly untrue. It is much more likely that President Roosevelt was re-elected three times because people thought he was a good president (or, at least, good enough, and better than those candidates running against him) than the other way around.
2. President Roosevelt was long dead (he died in 1945) during the Bay of Pigs invasion (1961 and which, by the way, is commonly considered to have been a tragic event, not a success) and Cuban Missile Crisis (1962). It was President Kennedy who was in office at that time.
3. Anyone who had been elected president in 1940 would have led us through WWII, whether she or he was a good or bad president. I think you may have meant to say that President Roosevelt *successfully* led the US through (most of) WWII.
