First of all, heckling is part of the comedy show. Comedians get trained to handle hecklers with jokes to prove they aren't just reciting a "funny speech" and show they can be funny on the spot.
Second of all, you need to come into this century and realize your point of view is dated and ignorant.
You're a douchebag. (You're acting like one so don't get mad that i'm calling you on it.)

I find it interesting that when one listens to Richard Pryor who I love to listen to, some of the things he said to his hecklers were totally outrageoous where does anyone get off givening this guy a hard time. Pryor repeatedly used the word ****** over and over and over... just because he was black is that any reason to assume that he has somehow gotten express permission to say it that word but a white comedian can not, It is a word.... period .....whether you are black or white or green if one comedian is allowed to use that word then all comedians need to be allowed to use the word we need to quit furthering elitism's and get on with it, what I believe was the problem is that Richards lost his cool and didn't deliver his retort to hecklers in the same vain as the rest of his monologue in that he was wrong but everyone dumps it once in awhile on stage when you are live there are lots of instances throughout entertainment history where that has happened if anyone thinks that it is terribly wrong then try to get up in front of a live audience and keep you act together... it is not easy as all will tell you.... not defending anyone just trying to think it thur logically and not get drowned in political correctness... just one persons opinion...

people(black, white, latino, asian) heckle comedians all the time. would you call a white heckler a ni****? GOOD comedians have clever comebacks for hecklers. not only is michael richards a bigot, he's also bad at standup comedy. playing a doof on television does not a comic make. it was on him to apologize, not the hecklers. i won't go as far as to say that they deserve money because of what happened, but if they get some 'oh well'.

Heckling? They called him a Honky and a Cracker !! That's a racist name isn't it?
Here's the deal, after they heckled him with their racist slurs he fought back and unlike any other little child that could go running to mommy because they got their feelings hurt, they went to Jesse Jackson and put it on the news!! That way they looked innocent. Did you notice that there hasn't been ANY reports of what they said, and there has been nobody ask them in any interveiw? Hmmm Sounds kind strange huh?

I agree to some point. If they didn't think he was funny they should have left or not gotten tickets to the show. On the other hand there is way of telling people to shut up also.Yelling out in and calling people names is not one of them. So in this case both parties are to blame.

i agree.
yes, kramer went a little too far, but wait....
if the hecklers didn't heckle, then maybe this whole thing never would have happened. didn't we learn about cause and effect relationships back in grade school?
here's more fuel for your fire...
i read somewhere that one of the hecklers is bringing a lawsuit against richards for embarrassment and emotional distress. c'mon now, if you heckle someone and they bring it back (IN A COMEDY CLUB FOR CHRIST SAKE) you gotta just take it!

This question has been asked too often. I have answered it a lot. Now people are just keeping his ignorance alive by going on and on. The man is a maniac the whole world now knows it, so just let it be.

if you are a good comedian you can come at a heckler in an instant. you are not demeaning but you are funny where everyone enjoys what you are saying and are laughing with you not snarling and getting upset. he is a tired *** comedian and should have hung his funny bones up after seinfeld.

It upsets me because if it was a Black man on stage saying this about a white person it would be funny there is a double standard.
