Would it be considered a racist institution? If so, why?

yes it would be seen as a racist institution,only by the blacks who have thier own schools,t.v.stations,clubs,churc.hes,ect....but if white people try to have anything for themselves,the blacks would march on the whitehouse,riot,and jesse jackson would be all over it.the whole thing is stupid!if black parents want thier kids to go to an all black school,God bless them,and if i wanted my kids to go to an all white school it should be my choice.its reverse racism..next thing you know some old white lady will rise up from the back of the bus,and drink from the all black water fountain and be in the history books..I HAVE A DREAM...where a white man and a black man can attend the same school and walk side by side without malice,where your school choice is not decided by the color of your skin...ect..kinda sound familiar??they work so hard to be an equal part of white society,..and then re-segragate themselves...ill never understand this screwed up world we live in..we are all made from the same materials,just different shades..the world would be boring if we were all the same color....

First of all..what is white? If my ancestors are from turkey, am I white?...What about Russia? What about Egypt? Is there a level of whiteness you need to have? Does a tan keep you from being white? what about freckles? As soon as you make a policy about excluding a certain type of person, you begin discrimination. If it was all Caucasian college...it would be racist...If you only wanted to admit very pale people such as albinos...it wouldn't be racist....just discriminatory. Race, skin color, and origin of your ethnic background have no correlation. ie..A Russian might be asian, or caucasian or blends, even though all of Russia is technically in Asia. And many East Indians have very dark skin and are considered caucasians, and they are in asia as well. Egyptians may have dark skin or light skin, and many are considered caucasian...and they live in Africa..

My name is Ms.Lee and i am an African American, and to answer this question i would say that if there was an all white college, it would not be considered racist, it will be called monkey see monkey do. If the whites were so smarter than us then they would have been thought of that. but they didn't. African Americans was the only ones who came up with the HBCU which mean if the whites did the same thing that mean that they just wanna but just like us. and i would like to say thank you to everybody that is reading this and that you to the haters, keep hating THANK YOU, can you can't do nothing about it. yes it would be. I dont think that is right but that is the way the world is. Like in high school you have the asian club the black club the muslim club but you are not allowed to have a white club cause then you are being discriminatory and racist.

YES...i think so. there isnt any difference between white and black people!!! just because our skins are different colours...that shouldnt' make a difference! if this college only allowed white people, why wouldn't it be a racist institution?

Yes...because being white is not being in a minority. It would be for the same reason if there was to be a magazine called WHITE.
Reverse discrimination. Fact of life.

That would surely get the ACLU riled up, even if it was a private school.
You can do the minority assembly, but never can you show direct racism based on a so called majority.
Just not ethical.

You know dont you that there are many colleges that are essentially all white. The few people of color there are more white than the others.
