If you view "Gold Stone" in most books does your stone look similar?.. Gold Stone is a man made stone and is more dark blue then black, but can be some other colors. it has very small sparkles, (I have yet to find out what the sparkles are) inside.
If the stone doesn't have these sparkles but is shiny as glass, could be Black Obsidian, or Onyx. One thing that would help others identify something you have, is post an image of the stone in your Yahoo Photo album or another photograph storage server. Thank you.
